Sexy songstress Efya opens the 2013 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards
(VGMA) with a very captivating performance followed by Ghana’s Afropop
sensation Fuse ODG who charged the Kano Seyaaano Seyaaenue with his
smash hit Antenna.
Actor and comedian Lil Win storms the stage with his old school
swagger to introduce Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD) and songstress Eazzy as
hosts of this year’s awards.
Gospel songstress Herty Bongreat, who is currently on a campaign to
infuse some youthful exuberance into the gospel music scene, took the
stage and performed her hit song ‘Kano Seyaa’. Hiplife trio, 4×4 were
next. Looking fresh as usual, they electrified the venue with ‘Mokoni’,
‘Anadwo Yede’ and ‘London Bridge’

Rapper M.Anifest hits the stage to perform Makaa Maka. He ushers in the
legendary Amandzeba who takes the awards back to time. He performed
several hit songs including the popular Wogbe.

Now the award show rewinds its clock to the genesis of hiplife music.
Music duo, Akatakyie hits stage unleashing some of thier well known
tunes. Akatakyie has been out of the music scene for sometime now but
tonight’s performance was as if they never left. Their Odo Esisi Me got
patrons on their feet singing along.
The old school fiesta was not over. Kontihene was next and what a
performance he gave. He performed several songs including, Esi, Aketesia
and Asesa.

Rapper E.L. starts the next batch of perfromances. He starts his
performance with One Ghana and backed by some sexy dancers, he capped
his performance with Kaalu. He was followed by Tema-based rapper Bisa
who thrilled patrons to his smash hit Ayi.
Hiplife duo, Keche took the stage backed by four neatly dressed
dancers. With their splendid Azonto dance moves, they performed Slow
Motion and their smash hit Aluguntugui.

The King of the Streets, Kwaw Kese hits the stage with an ironing
board and a box iron. He irons his t-shirt on stage and wears it. When
he finally started his performance, Nonsense, Poppin and Let Me Do My
Thing filled every inch of space of the Accra International Conference
Centre.
Nigerian music star Banky W brought his sleekness onto the stage.
With such agility and backed by three neatly dressed dancers, the
Nigerian got patrons on their feet. When he dropped his smash hit
Yes/No, the crowd couldn’t stop singing along.

The 2010 and 2012 Artiste of the Year, Sarkodie took the stage to do
what he does best. With his never ending and tongue twisting flows, the
Tema-based rapper was busy rocking the stage like never before
